The Solid Edge Explore This macro opens the Windows Explorer with the currently open file in Solid Edge selected. The macro can be run ideally from a ribbon button or from the Quick Access toolbar:
The macro runs in the Part, Draft, Assembly or Sheetmetal environment.
When the button is clicked, the folder of the currently open file in Solid Edge is opened in Windows Explorer.
If the current file is not saved, a message appears:

Further, in a Draft document if a single view is selected, the model of the view is opened in Windows Explorer.
In an assembly file, if a single occurrence is selected, the model file is opened in its folder in Windows Explorer.
If more than one view or more than one occurrence is selected, the Draft or Assembly file is opened and not the file of the view or occurrence.
