Solid Edge Video Quick Tip #017

In Solid Edge, you can use the scroll wheel on the mouse to increment or decrement the value of a dimension or a feature input when the mouse pointer is over the value.

Scrolling the wheel forward increases the value and vice-versa.

When the mouse pointer is away from the value in the graphics area, the normal behavior takes place i.e. zooming or panning, etc.

The important setting under Solid Edge Options, General Tab are:

1. Enable Dynamic Edit, Recompute continually, and

2. Enable value change using mouse wheel.
