Spacing between drawing views is an important drawing standard. Proper spacing between views enables ease of reading and placing dimensions along with other annotations like callouts, etc.
The ViewSpacing tool for Solid Edge allows picking two drawing views and then asks for the distance to be maintained. The program then moves the second view picked to maintain the specified distance as minimum between the views. This distance is the gap between the extents of the views and not the distance between centers of the views.
Note: The views must be aligned vertically or horizontally. Views with broken alignment using Alt+Dragging will not be spaced by this macro. |
