Solid Edge App: Add DXF and DWG to Sketch

This Solid Edge app lets you open a DXF or DWG file and adds it directly to the active sketch in a Part or Sheetmetal file.

Here's a sample DXF/DWG file opened in Draft.

Here's how it looks like after inserting in the active sketch in a Part or Sheet Metal file.

Usage:
1. Keep a Part or Sheet Metal document open.
2. Edit an existing sketch or start a new sketch or enter the sketcher mode in any command like Extrude, Revolve, Cut, etc.
3. Run the program and select a DXF/DWG file to open.
4. The app opens the DXF/DWG in a temporary Draft file and copies the contents.
5. The temporary draft file is discarded.
6. The part/sheetmetal file is activated and the DXF/DWG contents are pasted in the open sketch.
7. The view is Zoom Fit.

Notes:
1. Works in the ordered mode only.
2. It does not check if the DXF/DWG is empty.

Future Enhancements:
1. Sync mode.
2. Assembly.
3. Prompting the user to pick one of the existing sketches.

How to use:

1. Download the zip file from the link below.

2. Unzip files to a folder.

3. Call the file AddDXFToSketch.exe from the folder.
